Jeff Hamper received his Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He started his career in pharmacy as a pharmacy intern at Jewel-Osco pharmacy, a division of Albertsons Companies. Upon graduation from pharmacy school, Jeff completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency with Jewel-Osco pharmacy and Midwestern University – Chicago College of Pharmacy. He has held various positions including pharmacy manager, clinical pharmacist, district point person for clinical services, clinical coordinator, and corporate pharmacy trainer. He has stayed involved with residency training since graduation from the program, serving as a preceptor, director, and practitioner surveyor. In his current role as Manager of Pharmacy Experiential, Intern, and Residency Programs, Jeff oversees preceptor development for pharmacy technician experiential, PharmD experiential, interns, and residency programs companywide. He also serves as a Lead Surveyor for Community-based Pharmacy Residency Programs with ASHP Accreditation Services, Coordinator-elect for the APhA Preceptor SIG, and is a facilitator of the APhA SCDI Residency Training Program. A Chicago-area native, Dr. Hamper currently lives in Boise, ID with his wife Melissa, and children Charlie, Vivian, and Henry.
