Sarah Aldrich Renner, PharmD, BCACP is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS) and practices as a Clinical Ambulatory Care Pharmacist within The University of Toledo General Internal Medicine (GIM) Clinics. She earned her PharmD at Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy before completing two years of residency at Michigan Medicine. Her first year of residency focused on general inpatient medicine where she was heavily involved in inpatient transitions of care research with an emphasis on medication adherence. She then completed a second year of residency specializing in Ambulatory Care where she rotated throughout several clinics focusing on chronic disease state management. Currently, Sarah utilizes collaborative practice agreements to manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and smoking cessation. She serves as a resource for medication related inquiries including but not limited to medication education, disease state education, and medication adherence within an outpatient GIM clinic. She is regularly involved in quality improvement throughout the GIM division. Finally, Sarah is involved in both experiential and didactic teaching within the University of Toledo CPPS.
