Kevin Lu, PhD, FISPE, BPharm, is an Associate Professor (with tenure) of Pharmacy Administration at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Dr. Lu earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Health Services Research from the University of Maryland. Lu currently sits on the Executive Committee of APhA-APRS, is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA), and chairs the APhA-APRS Economic, Social and Administrative Sciences Section (ESAS).
Dr. Lu’s research focused on using big data to investigate the effect of medication use on patient outcomes. Dr. Lu has published more than 90 peer-reviewed articles, including the JAMA series, Nature series, and Lancet series. He maintains an active collaboration with colleagues in clinical practice for questions that matter to pharmacists. His research has resulted in numerous grants, publications, keynote speeches, symposiums, podiums, and posters at national and international conferences.
