Bernadette Asias-Dinh, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, CDCES is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy where she found her passion for Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Chronic Disease State Management. After graduation, she completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Program with Emphasis in Primary Care at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System in Temple, Texas. She then became an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist in the Texas Medical Center, providing collaborative drug therapy management to a diverse patient population and variety of disease states, including post-transplant diabetes and anticoagulation in advanced heart failure patients. In 2016, she returned to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy as faculty where she also maintains a practice site and continues to provide collaborative drug therapy management for dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, anticoagulation, and tobacco cessation, but to an underserved population of Houston. She is passionate about bridging the gap between patients and the care they need to reach their health goals and preventable complications, as well as advocating for the pharmacists’ role in filling these care gaps.
