Emmeline Paintsil, PharmD, MSLD, BCPS is the Director of Professional Affairs for the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA).
She is a board-certified clinical pharmacist and artist with a passion for patient advocacy, lifelong learning, and making a profound impact in the lives of others. Emmeline is a proud alumna of Drake University, earning her PharmD in 2018 and a Masters in Leadership Development in 2020. Post-graduation, She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and a teaching certificate program with the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. After residency, she worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and as a Kidney/Pancreas and Heart Transplant Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the hospital’s transplant center.
Since 2021, Emmeline has served as the Director of Professional Affairs for IPA. In this role, Emmeline oversees IPA practice-related advisory committees and policy committees to address current issues across the practice of pharmacy. She serves as a liaison to the Iowa Department of Public Health and Board of Pharmacy, and to several national pharmacy associations. Emmeline manages grant initiatives and coordinates education and leadership development programs. She also serves as a liaison to student pharmacists, residency programs, and pharmacy technicians in Iowa. Emmeline dubs herself a "passionate PharmD, creative visionary, and purpose-driven leader" who applies her organizational leadership training to advance the pharmacy profession and empower healthcare professionals.
