Scott Mooney is Vice President of Distribution Operations at McKesson Corporation. His primary responsibilities are assuring product integrity through regulatory compliance and traceability. Scott leads McKesson’s Traceability Team working on implementation of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) across McKesson’s various business units.
Scott joined McKesson in 1987 and had previous roles in Finance, Distribution Center Management and as a Regional Vice President of Distribution Operations. Scott has participated in McKesson’s integration of acquisitions over his career and has dedicated hte last 10 years on the interprestation, and implementation os the DSCSA.
Scott has been active in Healthcare Distribution Aliance’s (HDA) Traceability Implementation Workgroup, the HDA Industry Relations Council and HDA's committees including the Federal and State Government Affairs as well as HDA's Regulatory Affiars Council. Since 2014 Scott was elected to be a member of the GS1 Global Healthcare Leadership Team and has served as co-chair of the Global Healthcare Laadership Team group since 2015. Scott is also a member of the GS1 US Executive LEadership Committee for Healthcare. In 2019 Scott was elected to the Board of Directors and currently is Treasurer of the Partnership for DSCSA Governance which is a collaborative forum and FDA public-private partnership dedicated to developing, advancing, and sustaining an effective and efficient model for interoperable tracing and verification of prescription pharmaceuticals in the U.S.
Scott has a BA in Accountancy and a MBA from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.
