Aishwarya Venkatachalam earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University and currently works as the community-based pharmacy resident at HealthLinc Community Health Center's Mishawaka clinic. She is an active member of the American Pharmacist’s Association, the Community Pharmacy Advancement Committee at Purdue University, and the Indiana Pharmacy Association. Aishwarya is dedicated to working with diverse patients, establishing enduring relationships to help them achieve their health goals, particularly in diabetes, women's health, and addressing health equity and literacy barriers.
Her research focus was prompted by the significant number of Spanish-speaking patients at her practice sites in Northwest and North-Central Indiana. Recognizing the challenges posed by language barriers in healthcare, Aishwarya advocates for these populations and seeks ways to enhance cultural sensitivity in our healthcare system for better quality of care.
