Shannon Habba is a third-year student pharmacist pursuing a PharmD with a concentration in Ambulatory Care at Wayne State University (WSU) Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Shannon is the 2023-2024 chairperson of the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists at WSU. She is the recipient of the District IV NABP/AACP Future Pharmacists Award, a grant awarded to support a student-led, novel, and sustainable initiative to address mental health in pharmacy practice. She served as the principal investigator of the #ATimeToTalk: A strategy to destigmatize depression in a community pharmacy setting research project under the supervision of Wayne State University clinical assistant professor, Dr. Brittany Stewart, RD, PharmD. Shannon has pharmacy internship experience in community, ambulatory care, and managed care. Through these professional experiences, Shannon continues to strengthen her commitment to providing patient-centered care and advancing the pharmacy profession.
