Kimberly C. McKeirnan, PharmD, BCACP, is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Center for Pharmacy Practice Research at Washington State University. Dr. McKeirnan is currently conducting grant-funded research projects to improve immunization rates in rural areas, implement chronic disease-state management services in rural community pharmacies, implement Mental Health First Aid training in the PharmD curriculum, and evaluate the role of the pharmacy technician in immunization services. She has recently been the recipient of several regional and national awards for teaching and research including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy 2023 Emerging Teaching Scholar award, the Washington State University 2022 Technology with Impactful Contribution to Society Award, the American Pharmacists Association 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award in Pharmacy Practice, American Pharmacist Association 2019 Immunization Champion Award, and Washington State Pharmacy Association 2018 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year Award.
