Dr. Hari Gali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. He is a radiopharmaceutical scientist with specific training and expertise in chemistry, radiochemistry, and radiopharmaceutical sciences. His research is focussed on the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for molecular/functional imaging and therapeutic applications. Dr. Gali has developed the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) aspects for the preparation of 18F-FLT for two ongoing Phase I clinical trials. He manages a small biomedical cyclotron facility and a radiochemistry laboratory. Previously, he has developed novel hybrid inorganic-organic ion exchange materials for application in 225Ac/213Bi and other radionuclide generators and peptide-based radiopharmaceuticals for application in diagnosis and therapy of cancers. He is a co-inventor on 6 US patents, 1 EU patent, and 12 patent applications. He has authored/co-authored 68 peer-reviewed journal articles and 70 presentations at various national/international conferences. He has served as a principal investigator on several small business innovative research (SBIR) and academic grants/contracts.
