A practicing pharmacist for over 30 years, Cheri Garvin is the President and CEO of The Compounding Center in VA. This PCAB accredited pharmacy offers sterile and non-sterile compounded medication and a full selection of medical equipment.

Cheri completed her undergraduate courses at George Mason University, and received her pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. She is very involved in the pharmacy industry and the local community. Cheri was appointed to the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and currently serves as the Vice Chair. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding, the Certification Council for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, the Legislative Committee for the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, and the National Community Pharmacist Association’s Compounding Steering Committee. She mentors students and serves as a lecturer for many schools and organizations. She is a member of the Loudoun CEO Cabinet, American Pharmacist Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, Virginia Pharmacist Association, and Alliance for Pharmacy Compounding.

She has served on the Board of Directors for Loudoun Hunger Relief, on the Board of Advisors for John Marshall Bank, on the Advisory Council for The Professional Compounding Center of America, as Volunteer Clinical Faculty at Shenandoah University and Virginia Commonwealth University. Cheri has received several honors including, Mentor of the Year by the Medical College of Virginia. She was chosen as one of Loudoun’s Leaders in Loudoun Business Journal, was awarded SmartCEO’s Achievement as a top female executive in the DC area and honored with the Evelyn Timmons Advocacy Award for her efforts on behalf of the profession. Cheri resides in her hometown of Leesburg, VA with her husband of 34 years and their two sons.
