Dr. Emily Eddy, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Ohio Northern University, Raabe College of Pharmacy. Dr. Eddy has an immense passion for diabetes and diabetes-related patient care. She enjoys sharing her passion with her students and strives to grow their understanding and excitement of diabetes within the PharmD program through teaching the pharmacotherapy of diabetes, as well as coordinating two advanced diabetes pharmacotherapy elective courses. She also teaches the APhA Diabetes certificate program to both students and currently practicing pharmacists. Another passion and motivator for Dr. Eddy is the opportunity to work with rural and underserved communities and strives to meet their needs through pharmacy practice. Within the college of pharmacy, Dr. Eddy and her colleague developed and founded the Rural and Underserved Health Scholars Program (RUHSP). The program is aimed at preparing health professional students for a career in rural or underserved healthcare and developing community-based projects.
Dr. Eddy practices within the ambulatory care setting and maintains an active practice as a clinical pharmacist with Primary One Health (Columbus, Ohio). At this federally qualified health center, she provides comprehensive clinical services to an underserved patient population, with an emphasis on diabetes management. She additionally holds a board certification in ambulatory care and is board certified in advanced diabetes management.
