Jennifer Hookstra Danielson, PharmD, MBA, CDECS is Department Chair and Professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She spent the previous 16 years on faculty at University of Washington where she served as the academic lead for the school on implementing and teaching the interprofessional education (IPE) curriculum since 2015. She has designed IPE curricula and taught interprofessionally since 2011, which established her as a recognized national and international expert. Her pharmacy-related classroom teaching is focused on diabetes education and prevention, which stems from her practice background in the ambulatory care/clinic setting. Dr. Hookstra Danielson graduated with her bachelors in pharmacy and masters in business administration from Drake University and got her PharmD at University of Colorado. She has spent nearly 30 years of her career in academia and has published over 30 articles, books, and book chapters. Dr. Hookstra Danielson has presented both internationally and nationally about interprofessional education and advancement of experiential education. Her interests in scholarship blend assessment of IPE strategies with educational experiences in assessment and the practice setting.
