William Eggleston, PharmD, DABAT is the assistant clinical director of the Upstate New York Poison Center and an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wilkes University, completed a fellowship in clinical toxicology at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Applied Toxicology.
Eggleston’s research focuses on identifying and reducing drug related harms, particularly harms stemming from opioid use. His research has been recognized by the Pharmacotherapy Editor’s Choice Award, the American Association of Poison Control Centers’ Platform Award, and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology’s Research Award. He has presented at several regional, national, and international meetings, including the American Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting and the North American Congress of Clinical Toxicology.
