Dr. Dhami is an active hospital pharmacist, educator and researcher. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at University of Toronto and a Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Florida.
She is the current Chief Pharmacy Officer for the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists where she oversees the national advocacy and professional development initiatives. Prior to this role, she has been a passionate hospital pharmacist with 18 years of practice in progressive leadership roles but has also maintained a small community practice role as well. She has led a number of practice initiatives related to advancement of pharmacist's scope and improvement of medication use - specifically on antimicrobials. Her research interests include pharmacy practice initiatives related to environmental sustainability in pharmacy, health human resources, and evaluating the impact of antimicrobial stewardship initiatives. Dr. Dhami is excited to share some insights on the global pharmacy practices and the role of pharmacy innovation.
