Ronald R. Zentz, RPh, DDS, FAGD, CPHRM joined CNA in 2012 and serves as Consulting Director, Industry Leader with CNA Specialty Risk Control. His primary responsibilities include risk management resource development, customer support and continuing education for dentist and pharmacist professional liability programs. Dr. Zentz collaborates with internal and external partners to provide professional insight and strategies to manage and minimize loss exposures and promote patient safety.
Dr. Zentz practiced pharmacy and served as a Certified Poison Information Specialist with the Indiana Poison Center. He practiced general dentistry for several years, followed by positions in the dental/pharmaceutical industry. His industry responsibilities included research, product development and continuing education. Dr. Zentz also coordinated global pharmacovigilance activities, and the clinical and safety components of drug and device regulatory approval submissions in the U.S. and E.U. During his tenure on the American Dental Association staff, Dr. Zentz served as Senior Director, ADA Council on Scientific Affairs.
Dr. Zentz’ educational background includes: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Butler University; Doctor of Dental Surgery, Indiana University School of Dentistry; and a General Practice Residency Certificate from the VA Medical Center, Indianapolis. Dr. Zentz is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Pharmacists Association, and is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American College of Dentists. He is certified in healthcare risk management (CPHRM) by the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management and has completed the TeamSTEPPS® Master Trainer program.
