Anyelis Rosario is a fourth-year pharmacy student at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy (UMSOP) in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and decided to pursue pharmacy as a career. Throughout her pharmacy school journey, Anyelis participated in leadership roles in several student organizations, research projects, and tutoring programs. She was heavily involved in APhA-ASP since the beginning of her doctorate by serving as Secretary her first year and as Chapter President during the 2022-2023 academic year. Her interest in clinical pharmacy fortified her desire to find opportunities that would improve her clinical knowledge, such as participating in the Pharmacotherapy Pathway offered at UMSOP, where she was able to collaborate in a research project focused on creating instructional videos to teach the pediatric population the correct inhaler technique. Anyelis’s goals include participating in a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program for the 2024-2025 academic year and, eventually, working as a clinical specialist and faculty at a pharmacy school.
