I'm Hao-Ping Chiang, MS, a first-year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Pharmacy Transitional Science (CPTS) program at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. I was a pharmacist in Taiwan and completed my master's degree at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. During my master's training, I focused on health service research in pharmacy and familiarized myself with both qualitative and quantitative methods. My research interest lies in pharmaceutical care for older adults. I evaluated the implementation of a care transition program to improve healthcare quality among rural older adults after discharge. I also discovered the determinants of medication adherence during care transition. My Ph.D. research will follow my interest and focus on pharmacist care for community-dwelling older adults with dementia and their informal caregivers.
