Dr. Arwa Al-khatib is a PharmD and an Assistant Professor at Manchester University, where she teaches courses in social and administrative pharmacy for PharmD students. She obtained her PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Iowa in 2023.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Al-Khatib had an extensive experience in the industry, working at Pharmacy One in Jordan from 2006 to 2018, in various roles, including Dispensing Pharmacist, Drug Information Center Supervisor, and Training/Poison and Drug Information Center Director. During this time, she introduced several training programs, diplomas, and initiatives to enhance pharmaceutical care and education.
Dr.Al-Khatib's research is focused on pharmacy practice transformation and improving patient outcomes. She has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented at various national conferences. She is an active member in the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP)
