Nha Tran, BPharm, MSc is a pharmacist and a second-year PhD Candidate at the College of Pharmacy, University of Michigan, USA. Her research interests in overtreatment and deprescribing stem from previous pharmacy experience in caring for older adults in the community. After completing a BPharm at Monash University (Australia), Nha continued to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice, and Policy at University College London (UK). Her research project in the UK set a foundational interest in medicine-related problems in older adults. In 2022, Nha joined the Clinical Pharmacy Translational Science Ph.D. program at the University of Michigan. Under the supervision of Dr. Antoinette B. Coe, her dissertation project focuses on examining the intention to discuss deprescribing with healthcare providers among overtreated older adults with diabetes.
