Meng-Jung Wen BPharm, MS, is a 3nd-year PhD Student in Health Services Research in Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master's of Science in Clinical Pharmacy in Taiwan. She is now working for her advisor, Dr. Olayinka Shiyanbola, on several research projects of implementing a culturally-tailored community intervention that aims at improving medication adherence and Hemoglobin A1c among African-Americans with type 2 diabetes. Meng-Jung's own interest is to study psychometrics in patient-related outcomes, especially in the medication use experience of cancer survivorship. Her dissertation will study how different health beliefs contribute to medication-taking behaviors in cancer survivors and its impact on medication adherence and quality of life.
