Aleda M. H. Chen, PharmD, PhD, FAPhA, is currently serving as a Professor and the Associate Dean at Cedarville University School of Pharmacy, where she oversees Assessment and Research. As an educator and researcher, Dr. Chen focuses on the social and behavioral aspects of pharmacy, with a focus on motivational interviewing and health disparities/cultural humility in patient and student education. Dr. Chen is actively involved with the pharmacy profession, including chairing and serving on several national pharmacy organization committees with APhA and AACP. As part of APhA, she has served as a Postgraduate Member-at-Large on the New Practitioner Advisory Committee, an editorial board member for Transitions and JAPhA, and APRS-ESAS Contributed Papers Chair. She also served as the CUSOP APhA-ASP advisor for 7 years. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy journal. Dr. Chen earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ohio Northern University and her Masters’ of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Purdue University. She has worked as a community pharmacist for CVS/Pharmacy and as a clinical pharmacy specialist for Profero Team, LLC.
