Dr. Ashanta D. Colemen is currently a PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy resident where works at Mathes Pharmacy/Diabetes Center and Purdue University. She earned her PharmD at Butler University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2023. Since graduating, she has spent a educating and advocating for patients in the community as well as precpeting and mentoring future pharmacists. Dr. Colemen is passionate about implementing innovative pharmacy practices and increasing health equity as it relates specifically to accessing quality patient-centered care. Through her research, she hopes to shine light onto the many barriers that exist with access to CGM technology and inform future interventions necessary to encourage a greater use of among non-insulin dependent persons living with type 2 diabetes. Dr. Colemen is a recipient of the 2024 American Pharmacist Association (APhA) Foundation Incentive Grant as well.
