Felix Cheuk Wun Ting, MPH is a PhD student in Social and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. He is also a registered pharmacist in Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and a Master of Public Health degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Felix's current research interest is to investigate the impact of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) on medication adherence and health outcomes in different patient groups using Medicare data. This research interest arose from his undergraduate overseas MTM rotation, during which he learned that pharmacists could play a much greater role in contributing to safe and effective use of medications in patients. He hopes to navigate medication management services from a health system perspective in order to benefit not only individual patients, but also the entire population. He is also interested in the use of technology in healthcare, with a previous project in Hong Kong evaluating the safety and efficiency of a technology-based medication management program for old age homes. In the long run, with his background in both pharmacy and public health, Felix would like to be an independent researcher and also a team player in an interdisciplinary research team.
