Dr. Katherine Houlihan, PharmD is PGY-1 Community-based Resident for the University of Rhode Island and Walgreens Pharmacy. In her career as a pharmacy resident, Katherine is exposed to many different facets of community and ambulatory-based pharmacy practice. In any given week, she spends time working directly with patients in the retail setting at Walgreens pharmacy, conducting home visits for home care patients at Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice in Portsmouth, RI, and teaching pharmacy students as an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island. Her research interests include public health and harm reduction.
