Lindsey Hohmann, Pharm.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy (AU HCOP). In her role, she promotes clinical and translational science research within the school. Dr. Hohmann’s research interests include implementation science and mixed methods, substance misuse prevention, and implementation of innovations in community-based healthcare organizations. After she earned a Bachelor’s degree in cell and developmental biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2008, she went on to complete her Pharm.D. at the University of California San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2012. After spending several years in practice in community pharmacy, Dr. Hohmann came to Auburn University, completing her Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences from the Harrison College of Pharmacy in 2019. While at HCOP, she studied in the Health Outcomes Research and Policy option. Her doctoral dissertation, “Empowering community pharmacists to prevent opioid overdose deaths: development and implementation of a targeted naloxone training program,” focused on enhancing naloxone services implementation in community pharmacies in Alabama. The study was funded by Auburn University departmental support and grant number R36HS026669 from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
