Kenite Laurore is a student pharmacist at Nova Southeastern University. Before her acceptance at Nova, she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. As a dedicated and aspiring pharmacy professional, she is deeply committed to the advancement of healthcare and the well-being of individuals within her community. Throughout her academic journey, she has pursued excellence both academically and socially, aiming to become a proficient pharmacist equipped with the skills necessary to provide exemplary patient care. Her academic pursuits have been characterized by a strong focus on pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacotherapy, and patient-centered care. She has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, maintaining a high GPA while actively engaging in extracurricular activities and professional development opportunities. Furthermore, she is passionate about contributing to the advancement of the pharmacy profession through research and scholarly activities. She has been involved in research projects focused on topics such as pharmacogenomics, medication adherence, and healthcare disparities. Through her involvement in these projects, she has developed critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the evolving landscape of pharmacy practice.
Outside of academia, she is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), serving as their membership vice president, Secretary for the Student Society of Health Systems Pharmacists (SSHP) and President of pharmecutical fraternity Alpha Zeta Omega. These affiliations have provided her with opportunities to network with fellow pharmacy professionals, stay updated on industry trends, and engage in advocacy efforts aimed at improving patient outcomes and promoting healthcare equity
