Purdue University Pharmacy
Disclosure(s): No financial relationships to disclose
My name is Katie Koch, PharmD, and I am the current Community-Based PGY-1 Resident at Purdue University Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Indiana. I also graduated from Purdue University this past May. My current practice areas include patient-centered dispensing, immunizations, contraceptive prescribing, travel health consultations, smoking cessation, and chronic disease state management. My residency research project is centered around perceptions of pharmacists prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). As part of my program, I am developing a business plan to start a PrEP-consultation service in the pharmacy based on my research project, similar to our existin birth control and travel health services. Post residency, I hope to continue providing patient care in an independent pharmacy and/or clinic setting.
