Landon Santa-Pinter, a fourth-year pharmacy student at Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy, is originally from Choctaw, Oklahoma. Landon is active in Phi Delta Chi Professional Fraternity, World Languages Association, and the Catholic Student Association. Landon serves as a research assistant for Dr. Horrick Sharma. He is involved in analytical HPLC studies investigating the solubility, chemical, and metabolic stability of novel LDH inhibitors that are currently being developed in the lab as anticancer agents targeting cancer metabolism. He is also working with Dr. Lisa Appeddu, Dr. Stephen Drinnon, and Dr. Sally Drinnon evaluating meditation and its benefits for stress and anxiety in pharmacy students. Landon’s future goals include completing his pharmacy education with a strong consideration for attending graduate school, continuing his research activities, continuing to learn languages, and traveling.
