The landscape of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and its treatment is ever changing. The COVID-19 pandemic, coupled with increasing evidence for the effective provision of OUD treatment have required health care providers and regulatory bodies to reevaluate access to OUD treatment. Increasingly, pharmacists are becoming a vital resource to help reduce the catastrophic effects OUD has on our patients and communities. This presentation will review the current landscape of OUD treatment in the United States with an emphasis on how pharmacists, across all states and within federal government, can become involved in the treatment of OUD.
