The Fukushima-Daiichi reactor was the most recent event that had the whole world collectively discussing the dangers of radioactive material and the role that radioactive materials have in our society. While there are many stories in the media about radioactive contamination in the water, these reports may inflame the risks. Patients may have fears about their own care when it involves radioactive material. Attend this session to learn how the tsunami has given us lessens to communicate the risks and safety of radioactive materials to our patients and personnel.
