Statins have been the standard of care for years but have new agents on the market given them a run for their money? In this session, learn about PCSK9 inhibitors, bempedoic acid, and other non-statin options and compare their associated evidence to statins in various patient populations for ASCVD reduction.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify key characteristics and evidence for ASCVD reduction of non-statin therapies.
  • Compare the 2022 ACC Expert Consensus Decision Pathway on the Role of Nonstatin therapies with the 2018 guidelines.
  • Apply available trial data and guideline recommendations to select appropriate drug therapy based on patient-specific factors for ASCVD reduction.
