The health care system in the United States is rapidly evolving, inclusive of changes in care delivery, pharmacy services, medication reimbursement, pharmacy payment models, laws, and regulations, all of which require student pharmacists and practitioners to have a good understanding of management, business, and entrepreneurship concepts and skills. Attend this session to hear about current trends in the pharmacy workforce and education, as well as opportunities to enhance pharmacist education and training related to management, business, and entrepreneurship. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Summarize pharmacy workforce trends in administration, leadership, and entrepreneurship. 
  • Describe the administrative, leadership, and entrepreneurship knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) that will be essential for pharmacists in the future.
