Intentional future planning is an important professional activity that pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians should consider throughout their career.  Unfortunately, many do not contemplate their career trajectory until they become unhappy or unfulfilled in a position.  This session will discuss and provide tips and resources for pharmacy professionals to consider (e.g., personal values, creating a viable resume) when planning for their next position, their next transition, or their next focus area—all of which can occur during various times throughout one’s career cycle.

  • Discuss the roles of the workplace and personal well-being in professional and personal fulfillment. 
  • Describe aspects to consider and develop that influence career planning readiness. 
  • Develop a personal “elevator pitch” for your next professional opportunity.
