Medications for opioid use disorder save lives. Buprenorphine reduces the risk of fatal overdose by more than 60%, and it can be dispensed in community pharmacies. So…why is it only stocked in about half of U.S. pharmacies? Attend this session to explore perceptions and policies reported in a nationwide survey of community-based pharmacists. Experts will discuss barriers to dispensing and identify strategies to get this essential drug onto shelves and into the hands of patients who need it.
